Examples of license plate grading:
"Good to Very Good" condition (gvg)

gvg - Good to Very Good: An intermediate grade between good and very good. This is used when a plate is better than good but not quite very good.

gvg condition Hawaii 1976

Chihuahua (Mexico) 1976/77 fronteriza:
gvg condition Chihuahua 1976/77 fronteriza

Ontario 1954:
gvg condition Ontario 1954

New York 1951:
gvg condition New York 1951
License plate grading is very subjective. This plate could be considered a bit better than gvg. On other days I might grade it as very good minus (vg-).

Texas 1998:
gvg condition Texas 1998
License plate grading is very subjective. This plate could be considered a bit better than gvg. If it weren't for the scuffs on the numbers I'd grade it as very good (vg).

Panama 1992 truck:
