Examples of license plate grading:
"Good to Very Good" condition (gvg)

gvg - Good to Very Good: An intermediate grade between good and very good. This is used when a plate is better than good but not quite very good.

License plate grading is very subjective. This plate could be considered a bit better than gvg. On other days I might grade it as very good minus (vg-).
Texas 1998:
